Get2Chip, Verplex Partner to Provide Implementation, Verification Flow for SOC Designs
SAN JOSE & MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2001--
Get2Chip, Inc. and Verplex Systems, Inc., today announced a
partnership to provide a system-on-chip (SOC) design flow based on
Get2Chip's VOLARE multi-level synthesis platform and Verplex's
Conformal(TM) Logic Equivalence Checker (LEC).
Get2Chip and Verplex intend to work together to provide a seamless
flow between synthesis and formal verification as a means of reducing
design implementation and verification time. The result of this
cooperation will be a high-capacity and high-performance solution
targeted toward the design and implementation of complex,
multi-million gates SOCs.
``By teaming VOLARE and Conformal LEC together in a common
environment, we can guarantee fast and accurate functional convergence
between the register-transfer level and the gate-level netlist,'' notes
Lauro Rizzatti, Get2Chip's marketing director. ``The integration of
VOLARE with Conformal provides designers with a consistent design flow
that is powerful, accurate and easy to use, enabling better
productivity.''
``The proliferation of ultra-deep submicron processes with
geometries below 0.25m is forcing designers to adopt new design
methodologies and tools to handle the increased complexity,'' adds
Ralph Sanchez, product marketing manager at Verplex. ``With the two
companies working this closely together, we expect to improve both the
quality of results and the schedule of advanced SOC design
development.''
About Get2Chip
Get2Chip, Inc., is a leading supplier of software products that
enable the design of the world's most complex integrated circuits,
primarily found in the communications, wireless, computer, and
consumer product markets. It was launched in 2000 by semiconductor
veterans and chip design tool experts from Cadence Design Systems,
Inc. (NYSE: CDN - news), LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE: LSI - news), Mentor Graphics
Corporation (Nasdaq: MENT - news), Synopsys (Nasdaq: SNPS - news) and VLSI
Technology -- now part of Philips Semiconductors (NYSE: PHG, AEX:
PHI). Its breakthrough front-end tool suite, VOLARE(TM), provides
fully integrated, multi-level synthesis that offers the flexibility to
do chip design at the architectural, register transfer (RTL) or gate
level. VOLARE has been developed for complex SOC designs in ultra-deep
submicron silicon technology. Its TOPOMO(TM) product integrates and
automates block partitioning, block placement, global routing and
synthesis into one front-end integrated circuit (IC) design tool.
